7. Correction

To read more

Another reviewer different from the previous one realises, on paper, a last revision, that consists of two parts:

a) Revision of the format and appearance of the translation: the corrector makes sure that each translated page agrees with the original one, paying special attention to location of paragraphs, titles, use of capital letters and small letters, bold, cursive, crossed location of the images, references, etc.

After the final delivery, we remain available for any subject related to the translation on which the client can need our help: impression, ascent to Web, feedback, etc.

Tools

The last technology, to the service of the quality

TcmAdvisory counts on a technology outpost that allows us to optimize the effectiveness of our projects of translation: systems of management of projects, CRM, tools of DTP, terminological translation memories (MT), bases and securing and control programs of quality. We are in continuous improvement and update of our tools to offer a service every time to him better.

Tools of TAO translation

The TAO tools (Computer-assisted translation) divide the text in independent segments (normally each complete phrase) and create a data base of segments with their corresponding translations. For example, when the translator translates the phrase for the first time €the American market of ewe cheeses€, software stores this segment and its translation in the translation memory, so that the next time that the translator is with the phrase €the American market of ewe cheeses€, the program automatically will suggest to the translator the existing translation. In that point, it is decision of the translator to accept the suggestion or no, according to each case.

This way, the efficiency is increased of the translation process and it is avoided to have to translate text already translated previously. All this results in greater comfort for the translator and reduction in the costs for the client. In addition, TcmAdvisory creates translation memories for each client, which guarantees the terminological coherence in all translations.

With our TAO tools we translate faster, more accurately and saving costs to our clients.

With the aim of obtaining the best possible results, in addition to the use of translation memories, our processes of translation include a final phase of control and securing of the quality, that is realised thanks to specific quality programs for the sector of the translation.

Terminological management

The suitability in the use of the terms and linguistic conventions appropriate in a specific sector, as well as the coherence in its use, constitutes one of the majors challenges which we faced every day in TcmAdvisory. In order to reach this objective, we make use of translation memories, terminological bases (glossaries) integrated in the own TAO tools, glossaries provided by the client and guides of style.

The use of TM and the integrated glossaries guarantees that the work party uses the same terminology for the same project or client.

By means of the use of translation memories, glossaries and guides of style, we guaranteed the maximum terminological coherence in each project and for each client.

Also, it is essential that, in a same project, or different communicative products from a client, exists a line of coherent style with respect to use of very small capital letters/, abbreviations, terms in other languages, score, numbers, symbols, crossed references, units of measurement, place-names, titles, and an endless ones of aspects that form the own identity of a text.

The use of style guides turns out, therefore, essential to increase the quality of the translations. In TcmAdvisory we had a guide of general style for each language, in addition to proposing to all clients the creation of an own one for each project of translation. All this contributes to improve the terminological coherence in all products of communication.

Quality

What we by quality understand

In TcmAdvisory, we understand the concept of €quality€ of two different forms. First of all, €quality€ as set of aspects related directly to the sector of the translation. That is to say, the merely linguistic aspects or that are considered in order to optimize the linguistic result:

1. The professionals

The translators are the key piece of an agency of translation and the most important part of the work process. For this reason, we counted on an exhaustive process of selection that guarantees that our translators have the appropriate formation, specialization and experience.

2. Process of work

Here we included so much the management of the projects, with the use of specific programs of management, as the process of work in himself, the organization of the resources, internal procedures, and other elements that allow to optimize the results.

3. New technologies

The use of the last technologies in translation memories, terminological management and securing and control of the quality allows to optimize the resources, to make agile the work processes, to improve the results and of reducing the costs for our clients.

4. Security and confidentiality

We guarantee the confidentiality of the information of our clients by means of agreements with clients and our translators. On the other hand, we counted on daily backup copy electronic protocol and security systems. Its information, always confidential and to good collection.
