Auxiliary points: B15 Xinshu, B14 Juejinshu, P5 Jianshi, H5 Tongli and H7 Shenmen.
Method: First puncture the left B44 Shentang superficially with strong stimulation. Then, 1 or 2 of each of the main and auxiliary points are punctured with either moderate or strong stimulation. The needles are retained for 20 to 30 minutes and the therapy is given once daily.

Drugs: 5% Chinese angelica solution, 10% salvia miltiorrhiza solution, 10% spatholobus suberectus solution and Vitamin C.
Method: Any of the above drugs can be prescribed and one point in the chest,back, upper limb and lower limb is injected with 0.5 to 1 millilitre of the selected solution. The therapy is given once daily and a course includes ten injections.
Ear-acupuncture therapy
Points: Heart Pt, Kidney Pt, Shenmen Pt, Subcortex Pt and Adrenal Pt.
Method: All the above points are punctured with strong stimulation and the needles are retained for 30 to 60 minutes. The therapy is given once daily and a course includes ten punctures.
