Obesity Due To Yang deficiency of the spleen and kidney

Obesity,Yang,deficiency,spleen,kidney,tradtional chinese medicine,tcmadvisory,chinese herbs,herbal tea,nature therapy,
Rhizoma Dioscoreae

Main symptoms and signs: Puffiness, cold body and limbs, aching pain of lumbus, flaccid legs, polyorexia, scanty urine, profuse stools or loose stools, pale and enlarged tongue with whitish and slippery fur, deep and slow pulse.

Therapeutic methods: Warming and replenishing the spleen and kidney, activating yang to remove dampness.

Prescription and drugs: The prescription used is the modified Zhenwu Decoction composed of 10 g of Fuling (Poria), 8 g of Zexie (RhizomaAlismatis), 10 g of Shanyao (Rhizoma Dioscoreae), 10 g of Baizhu (Rhizoma Atractytodis Macroeephalae), 10 g of Dangshen (Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae), 10 g of Tusizi (Semen Cuscutae), 10 g of Yinyanghuo (Herba Epimedii), 8 g of Shengdihuang (Radix Rehmanniae), 10 g of Gouqizi (Fructus Lycii), 10 g of Xianmao (Rhizoma Curcutiginis) and 3 g of Gancao (Radix Glyeyrrhizae).

Modification: For the patients with aversion to cold and cold limbs, 6 g of Fuzi (Radix Aconiti Praeparata) (to be decocted first) is added; for the patients with marked edema, 10 g of Cheqiancao (Herba Plantaginis) (to be wrapped) and 10 g of Zhuling (Polygorus Umbeltatus) are included.
