Rehabilitation Efficacy Of Tea
Modern medical researches have told us that tea has many human-required ingredients: conffein, tannic acid, theophyl line, volatile oil, vitamines, protein and inorganic salts. Coffein not only has the effect of exciting the cerebral cortex and making people quick and clear in thinking, but has the efficacy of promoting constant production of gastric juice, thus helping TCM digestion and improving appetite. Besides, it exerts its contribution on the increases of metabolism and the prevention of cancer and radiation diseases.

Different category of tea has different efficacy, e.g. green tea, being cold in nature, has the efficacies of reducing fever and preventing heat-stroke, and is most accepted in summer; black tea, being warm in nature, has the efficacies of warming the middle-jiao and strengthening the stomach, and is popularly used in winter; scented tea is moderate in nature and is appropriate for all seasons.

Talking about the making of tea, different making again has different efficacy, e.g. tea infused in hot water or decocted has the efficacies of refreshing the mind and eyes, clearing away heart-fire and inducing diuresis; it is beneficial to the treatment of headache, vertigo, restlessness, thirst, oliguria and heat-stroke tea infused in boiling water has the efficacies of invigorating digestion and resolving dampness and phlegm, and is eligible for those who have poor appetite, tastelessness and greasy due to retention of phlegm-dampness; while cool tea has some efficacy in the treatment of diabetes.
Medicated tea has more marked efficacies of rehabilition, e.g. medicated tea of ginger is applied to the treatment dysentery; sugar-tea is efficacious in warming stomach medicated chrysanthemum-flower-tea has the efficacy of improving acuity of vision.It is predicatable that tea application will be further widened with the advance of science.
