Spesial Ways Treat For Your Hiccups
This is a symptom with air automatically and repeatedly rushing up through the air passage to produce a short noise due to adverse ascent of stomach Qi. It can be divided into 6 types: Due to coldness in the stomach the patient may suffer from slow hiccups with a low noise, relievable by hotness; due to adverse ascent of stomach fire the patient may suffer from prompt rushing of air from the mouth, with a loud voice and foul smell; due to adverse ascent of Qi and blockage of phlegm, the patient may suffer from repeated hiccups, distension of the chest and flanks, nausea and vomiting; due to deficiency of spleen and stomach Yang, the patient may suffer from interrupted hiccups with low and weak noise and cold limbs; and due to deficiency of stomach Yin, the patient suffer from continuous quick hiccups and dryness of the tongue and mouth cavity.

Hiccups due to spasm of the diaphragm often occur in eases of the stomach, intestines, mediastinum, peritoneum esophagus in Western medicine.

Recipe 1: Four pumpkin stalks.
Administration: A decoction of four pumpkin stalks is drunk 3-5 times a day.
Indication: To treat hiccups due to coldness in the stomach.

Recipe 2: Seven lichees.
Administration: Powder of seven charred lichees is taken with water.
Indication: To treat hiccups due to coldness in the stomach.

Recipe 3: Sugarcane juice 100 gm and ginger juice 9 gm.
Administration: The mixed juice is drunk slowly 2-3 times day for 2-3 days.
Indication: To treat hiccups due to adverse ascent of stomach fire.

Recipe 4: Walnut 120 gm and an adequate amount of Sesame oil.
Administration: The .walnut is fried in sesame oil for oral administration. Continue treatment for 4-5 successive days.
Indication: To treat hiccups due to deficiency of spleen and stomach Yang.
