Battle Creek, Mich., Mar. 11 ?Kellogg Community College Lifelong Learning Program is offering a new class titled igong: Liver and Heart Wellness?on Wednesday, March 19 from 6 to 7 pm at Kellogg Community College Regional Manufacturing Technology Center located at 405 Hill-Brady Road in Battle Creek.
Medical Qigong (pronounced chee-kung) is a collection of effective preventative, healing and strengthening exercises that have been used for thousands of years and are an integral part of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In this one-night workshop participants will learn the movements designed to support the body systems influenced by the spring season in the Chinese Solar calendarhe liver and the heart. By practicing the appropriate Qigong for the current season, a person can help establish and maintain a strong foundation for overall health. The course is taught by Janean Crapo, a martial artist.
