(1) Bailu (White Dew)
The time between 1 and 5 a.m. every day in this month is good for the following exercise. Sit cross-legged with hands placed on knees. Turn head and body to the left and right whilst pushing palms downward. Re-turn to the starting position and repeat the whole process 15 times on each side. Then, keeping body in an upright position, click teeth and inhale and exhale before swallowing saliva.
This exercise is effective for lumbago due to pathogenic wind-damp-ness, panic, mania, sweating due to debility, speechlessness caused by sore throat, dim complexion, sleepiness with frequent yawning and some nervous disorders.
(2) Qiufen (the Autumn Equinox)
The time between 1 and 5 a.m. every day in this month is also good for the following exercise. Sit cross-legged with palms stopping ears. Swing head to the left and right, 15 times on each side. Then, keeping body in an upright position, click teeth and inhale and exhale before swal-lowing saliva.
This exercise is effective for pathogenic wind-dampness, edema, cold in the stomach, abdominal distention, cough and asthma.
