Chinese medicine, in the form of acupuncture, helps to keep kids healthy. Acupuncture can be used for a variety of symptoms including allergies, asthma, bronchitis, colds, diarrhea, ear infections, fevers, sinus issues and sleep disorders.
The year of the boar will be celebrated during this year's Chinese New Year on February 18, 2007. According to Chinese Astrology, it will be a year of goodwill, abundance and generosity.

"Improving the quality of your health can significantly contribute to an abundant lifestyle, and this is especially true for children," stated Alexia Bennetts, owner of Calm Spirit Acupuncture. "This year, make it a resolution to stay healthy using TCM."

Acupuncture can be used to improve moods, energy and general health maintenance, as well as benefit sleep and appetite. There is an extremely low risk of side effects, and it can help determine which herbs to have on hand to keep kids and family healthy, according to Bennetts.

Infant massage is another form of treatment that can significantly improve a child's health. Nurturing Touch is a naturally rewarding way to relieve stress for you and your baby. Infant massage helps to relieve discomfort from gas, colic and constipation. It also improves blood circulation, aids in digestion, enhances the development of the nervous system, stimulates neurological development, improves immune function, reduces stress hormones and increases alertness.

In addition to improving the health of your child, infant massages provide essential one-on-one time that will enhance you intimacy, understanding and ability to nurture your child. Many parents experience an increased confidence and sensitivity to their baby's cues, and an ability to respond to their special needs.
