1. Mechanism.
Qi Bo says: "All wind diseases with symp-toms such as dizziness originate from the liv-er.
2. All cold diseases with symptoms such as stiffness originate from the kidney.
3. All qi diseases with symptoms such as feeling of oppression in the chest and breathing in difficult originate from lung.
4. All damp diseases with symptoms such as general edema and swelling originate from the spleen.
5. All febrile diseases with symptoms such as dizziness and convulsion of the limbs originate from fire.
6. All symptoms such as pain' -itch, and hem-orrhoids originate from the heart.
7. All symptoms such as urinary obstruction, constipation and urinary and fecal inconti-nence originate from the lower energizer.
8. All flaccidity diseases with symptoms such as rapid respiration and vomiting originate from the upper energizer.
9. All diseases with symptoms such as diffi-cult opening of the mouth, trembling and con-fusion originate from fire.
10. All convulsive diseases with symptoms such as stiffness of the neck originate from damp.
11. All rising of qi originates from fire.

We should know the relationship between patho-genesis and various syndromes, inquire into evil and non-evil, and study carefully on sthenic syndrome and deficiency syndrome. This means analyzing which qi is more nour-ishing, and then promote the flow of qi and blood to make it harmonious and mild.
