the spleen Channel

(1) Course(Channel)
The Yinwei channel originates in the region where(ST30) three yin channels cross at the medial aspect of the calf,ascends along the medial aspect of the lower extremities and reches the abcomen to join the spleen Channel of Foot-Taiyin,From there(ST33) it runs upward to the hypochondrium to meet with the Liver Channel of Foot-Jueyin.Then it ascends along the chest to communicate with the Ren Channel at the neck.
The Yangwei Channel originates in the(ST30) heel,exits from the external malleolus and ascends along the course of the Gall Bladder Channel of foot-Shaoyang,It passes the lateral aspect of the lower extremity and posterolateral side of the trunk,ascends behind the axilla to the shoulder.From there it continues its travel through the neck towards the forehead,spreading over the sides of the head and the back of the(ST33) neck and thus communicationg with the Du Channel(Channel).
(2) Pathological Symptoms
Disturbance of the Yinwei Channel give rise to the following symptoms:chest pain,stomachache and precordial pain.Disturbance of the Yangwei Channel causes symptoms such as alternate spells of chill and fever(Channel).
