Adequate supply of quantity of heat should be firstly guaranteed in the diet of physical workers. Secondly, select the food which can counteract or eliminate the hazardous factors in the food according to the different types of work. Supply salt-containing drink, vitamins B and C to supplement the loss of organic salt and water due to perspiration for those who engage in high-temperature operation; increase the proportion of fat in diet for those who engage in freezing environment; take care to supplement vitamin A and vitamin D for those who engage in the environment lacking sunlight like mines, tunnels and places under water; increase the intake of protein, carbohydrate and vitamin C in the diet for those who are long exposed to benzol to limit the intake of fat.

Eucommia fried with Kidneys
The diet includes 12 g of Duzhong ( Cortex Eucommiae), two pig kidneys (remove the fasciae and cut them into slices) and a proper amount of seasoning (cooking wine, ginger and green Chinese onion). First, add some clear water to Duzhong (Cortex Eucommiae) to be decocted for 30 minutes until the decoction is 50 ml. Then, add the cooking wine, 15 g of the seed powder of Gorgoneuryale and a proper amount of refined salt to the decoction. After stirring the decoction, mix the kidneys with the decoction. Next, put the decoction with all the ingredients into the pot to be stir-parched. When the meat is to be done, add the seasoning. The whole process is finished at this time.

Soup of Bone Marrow and Achyranthes
The diet includes 500 to 1,000 g of pig bone (the leg bone with marrow referred), 20 g of Huainiuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae) and 1,000 ml of clear water. Put the bone and Huainiuxi (Radix Achyranthis Bidentatae) into the water simultaneously. Decoct until the water boils. Then, add 50ml of millet wine to the decoction. After that, decoct the ingredients again with slow fire for 30 minutes. Finally, put a small amount of ginger, green Chinese onion and refined salt to the decoction. The prescription may be used as drink. It not only relieves thirst, but also strengthens the tendon and bone.
